Veerendrakumar happy after talks with Oommen Chandy

Mr Chandy told reporters that the issues raised by JD(U) were political and that some of them were genuine

KOZHIKODE: The UDF will solve the issues raised by Janata Dal (U) through discussions, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Sunday. 

After meeting JD(U) leader M. P. Veerendra Kumar at his residence, Mr Chandy told reporters that the issues raised by JD(U) were political and that some of them were genuine.   He said the JD(U) was given due importance in the UDF but the complaint regarding neglect at the organizational level would be discussed.

“Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC president  V.M. Sudheeran will hold discussions with  Veerendra Kumar on May 5,”  Mr Chandy said. He had also assured the JD(U) that action would be taken against those who were found responsible for the defeat of  Mr Veerendra Kumar in the Palakkad Lok Sabha seat.

Mr Veerendra Kumar expressed satisfaction over the  discussions  and said he was happy that the CM had understood the issues raised by the JD(U). He said his party would make the UDF north zone rally a big success.
