‘I couldn’t contain my excitement’

Anil Kapoor, known for his signature dance moves, will be seen as part of an elaborate dance sequence in the film Dil Dhadakne Do. The steps are reminiscent of his iconic moves in Ram Lakhan.

At a recent promotional event for DDD, the actor took to the stage to offer an apology to the cast for having caused any inconvenience thanks to his high-energy jig. “I’d like to apologise to Priyanka Chopra for having almost bruised her lips and some others on the sets who I may have hurt, inadvertently of course. Thing is, I don’t get a chance to dance in the movies these days—nobody makes me that offer anymore.

So when Javed (Akhtar) saab told me that I had an entire stanza dedicated to me, in a particular song, I just couldn’t contain my excitement and might have gone a little overboard,” the actor said.
