HyderabadTelangana employees alleged that under the guise of giving “options” to Seemandhra employees in the AP Reorganisation Act, the AP employees are getting plum postings in TS and the state government is turning a blind eye to this issue though injustice is meted to TS employees in bifurcation of state-cadre employees.

“The Telangana movement is all about water, funds and jobs. What is the point in achieving a separate state if TS employees are asked to work under Seemandhra officers even in TS? We will wait till June 2 for the TS government to act on this issue. If it fails to do so, we will observe non-cooperation and will not work under Seemandhra officers.

Similarly, TS employees allotted to AP will also observe non-cooperation,” said M. Chandrasekhar Goud, president, TS Group-I Officers Association and leader of Telangana Employees JAC.

Mr Goud pointed out that key position in TS major revenue earning departments like commercial taxes, revenue, transport, excise etc., were being allotted to Seemandhra officers denying promotions to existing TS employees.

Though the committee is yet to make final allocation of employees, TS employees are worried seeing the provisional allocations being made in 13 departments alleging that significant number of Seemandhra employees figured in the TS list.

“Though there is a provision to lodge objections on provisional allocations and seek changes, where is the guarantee that the committee would approve them going by the grave anomalies at the initial stage itself. When there are sufficient numbers of vacancies available in AP government, why should Seemandhra employees be appointed in TS. If Seemandhra employees love to work for TS, why should they choose only Hyderabad and neighbouring districts and leave districts like Adilabad, Khammam etc?” Mr Goud asked.
