After playing the trailer on loop for the media and fans at the special event, Ranbir was seen interacting with a few fans and even taking a few selfies with them. The film is all get to gun down the competition when it hits theatres on May 15.
Ranbir said,”My wedding plans have been made six years ago since I came into the industry. I request the media to stop speculating. I would celebrate my marriage. If I am in love I am. And I feel responsible towards it.”
The actor was asked about his wedding plans after he moved in with Katrina. This time around, he didn’t ignore it, but took the question head on.
Ranbir and Anushka will be seen steaming up the screen with some intimate scenes, which brought Katrina into the equation.
The film has been creating a lot of buzz on several social networking sites and now with the new trailer, it is about to get louder.
For those wondering how much money went into creating this periodic film, Rs. 80 crores, to be exact. We knew the film was big, but 80 crore big?
At the trailer launch event, Anurag mentioned that Anushka was one of the first actors to sign this film, and Karan, the last.
Ranbir reportedly read the ‘very interesting’ script on-board a flight. The first thing he did on landing, was to call up Anurag and agree to star in the movie.
While Karan took humorous digs at the cast and even himself, Ranbir was all praises for his director. "After a long time I took a role only based on the amazing script of the movie”, the actor said.
Karan was quoted as saying, "I have done Bombay Velvet for Rs.11. I'm not only inspired but also cheap.”
Karan, who is making his acting debut with this big budget film, went the Kareena Kapoor way and opted to do this film for minimal charge of just Rs. 11.
Karan said, “"My character, Khambatta is humorous and intrigued in the movie. Ranbir co-directed the movie. I used to get one direction from Anurag & three others from him.”
Karan Johar revealed that his co-star Ranbir brought a few suggestions to the table that we might just see in the final cut of the movie.
This film brought together some of the most talked about actors and directors/ producers of the Bollywood industry. It was no doubt that Ranbir, who has stuck strictly to acting decided to give direction a go.
The actors and director made it a point to have fun and take digs at each other while talking about the film and their characters.
While the leading pair brought on the romance, Karan and his director Anurag brought on the ‘bromance’ for the launch event.
All eyes were on the leading pair, Ranbir and Anushka, who sparked off an instant chemistry on stage.
At the star-studded launch, Anurag took to the stage first and introduced his cast and crew, who were all welcomed with thunderous applause.
The intriguing trailer, gives an insight into the plot, maps out characters and fans also get a glimpse of the stories brewing between the characters of the film.
