Mysuru rape: City Police Commissioner transferred

Mysuru/Bengaluru: Mysuru City Police Commissioner M.A. Saleem, who was in-charge of investigating the Mysuru rape case, was transferred as the head of Bengaluru traffic police, as Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic). The order is only waiting for a signature of Home Minister K.J. George. Mr B. Dayanand and Mr Sharath Chandra are in the running for the top post.

DC has learnt that Mr Saleem had ordered ACP Umesh Ganapathi Sait to arrest Mr V.B. Murthy, Ms Nalina Murthy and Prabudh Harsha Murthy, accused in the rape, attempt to murder and dowry harrassment case filed by the retired IAS officer’s daughter.
