Spotted: Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop coming soon

After unveiling the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung is now gearing up for the launch of another handset. A new Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 was spotted on TENAA, which gives out a hint that Samsung will likely launch the 8-inch tablet this year.

If the specifications on TENAA is to be believed, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 will feature a TFT display carrying a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 handset will run on the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system.

Powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor, the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 5 will offer around 2GB of RAM. Latest reports state that this tablet may be available in three variants – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Additionally, users will also be allowed to expand the storage memory of this tablet up to 128GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the Galaxy Tab 5 will sport a 5MP rear snapper and 2MP front-facing camera. The weight of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 is expected to be 338 grams and its thickness measures around 7.4mm.

Samsung hasn’t made any official announcement or released any teaser with regards to this 8-inch handset yet.
