Mumbai: With over a thousand films to his name, Kollywood's maestro Ilaiyaraaja has a heart of gold.

Raaja’s son, Yuvan Shankar Raja, in 2014 converted to Islam, reasons of which are still unknown. In a recent interview, the composer said that he faced no qualms from his dad about the same.

According to reports, Raaja was unfazed by his son’s decision of marrying for the third time or his conversion to the religion. Although he couldn’t attend his son’s marriage, he welcomed both bride and groom with open arms. Yuvan converted to Islam and went on to marry Jaffrunnisha, a native of Keezhakarai in the district earlier this year.

Yuvan, who off late has shied away from all sorts of rumours and gossips, is now gearing up for a concert.

The 35-year-old music director was earlier married to Sujanya and Shilpa and had separated. Just like his father Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music for more than 100 films and looks forward to hit 1000.
