Abducted girl rescued from Rajdhani Express

The alleged kidnapper was taking the girl to Hazarat Nizamuddin in New Delhi

Hyderabad: An 18-year-old girl, who was allegedly kidnapped and being taken to Delhi, was rescued from a first class coach of Rajdhani Express by RPF personnel of South Central Railway.

The RPF security control room had received information about the kidnapping of Asmoju from the Government Railway Police, Bengaluru station on Wednesday.

Immediately, the control room issued instructions over phone to the on-duty RPF escorting staff to nab the kidnapper and rescue the girl.

“The escorting staff, immediately swung into action, and after a thorough search, traced the girl travelling with a person in an H-1 Coach (First AC) of the Bengaluru-Hazarat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (on Wednesday) while, the train was about to reach Secunderabad railway station,” officials said in a statement.

The person, who allegedly kidnapped the girl and was taking her to Hazarat Nizamuddin in New Delhi, has been identified as M. Nizam.

The RPF  handed over Nizam and the girl to the GRP cops, Secunderabad, it said, adding, the GRP is carrying out further investigation in the case.
