Mumbai: Mahendra Singh Dhoni shocked the world of cricket, when suddenly stepped down from his post as the captain of the Indian cricket team.

Dhoni is considered as one of the most successful captains that the Indian cricket team has had. Being a wicketkeeper helped Dhoni become one of the most successful skippers.

Since he was always close to the action while his side was fielding, Dhoni could spot the little chinks in the opposition batsmen's armour.

The 35-year-old, who is known to be quite chirpy on the field, was caught on the stump mic many-a-times, giving advice - tactical or technical - to his teammates.

One such instance of Dhoni's tactical genius was caught on the mic, in a crunch match between India and Pakistan, when Shahid Afridi was belting the Indian bowlers all round the park.

While India's legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who was turning over his arm at that time, got smashed for a boundary, Dhoni encouraged him to bowl the same length, but only asked him to pitch it a little wider.

Sure enough, Afridi went for the bait, dancing down the track, and Dhoni was there in time to collect the ball and whip off the bails.

However, this is not the first when MS Dhoni’s talkathon was caught or rather heard on camera. In the past, Dhoni was heard being sarcastic towards Jadeja, telling Sreesanth about his girlfriend and even mimicking Manoj Tiwary.
