Freida Pinto and Meryl Streep come together for India's Daughter

The actresses will join director Leslie Udwin at the launch of ‘India's Daughter’

Mumbai: Continuing the spirit of women's day into March 9 in New York, international actors Freida Pinto and Meryl Streep will join BAFTA award winning director Leslie Udwin at the launch of ‘India's Daughter’ - a movement that has at its core, a documentary film directed by Leslee capturing the heinousness that was the case of the Delhi Gangrape incident - Jyoti Singh popularly known as Nirbhaya. The film will be premiered at the launch event, hosted at the 20th anniversary of the UN Forth World Conference for Women in association with Vital Voices Global Partnership and the NGO Plan International.
 
Freida joins the movement not just as a crusader for the cause dedicated to women but also as an associate producer on the film. Being someone who has always been at the forefront of female focused issues right from her work with the NGO Plan International across the globe to her role as co-producer and ambassador of the Girl Rising movement, Freida has taken on this project to team up with strong platforms like Vital Voices to ensure the widespread impact of its messaging.
