Hyderabad: Concept designs for development of the famed Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple at Yadagirigutta has been readied, but Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao wants experts to study Amritsar’s Golden Temple as well as the Akshardham temple etc. before taking a final call.

Sthapathi Soundararajan, architects Raj Expedith, Anand Sai and Jagan showed the designs to the Chief Minister. The Sthapathi and the architects told Mr Rao that the temple would have an ancient look. It will have many sculptures and the path leading to the temple will resemble a cave.
After checking the design, the Chief Minister suggested that the temple design should be in tune with the “Agama Shastra” and asked the designers to study the Golden Temple and Aksharadam.

The CM wants a two-way road to the temple (like in Tirumala), centralised parking, cottages, a hall for performing Vratham on a mass scale, yagasala, kalyana mandapam, hall for discourses, a shopping complex, amenities for pilgrims etc., at the temple.
He told a meeting that the government would earmark Rs 100 crore in the ensuing Budget for the proposed Yadagirigutta Urban Development Authority headed by G. Kishan Rao.
S. Narsinga Rao, principal secretary to CM, and Bhupal Reddy, special secretary to CM, were  also present at the meeting.

The temple will be located on 10-plus acres and 5 acres will be kept for other amenities. Mr Rao plans to visit Yadagirigutta on Wednesday to present Pattu Vastrams to Lord Narsimhaswamy as part of Brahmotsavam festivities. The CM will also discuss the development project with temple and government officials as well as local leaders.
