Two teens drown in Kukatpally lake

Hyderabad: Two teenagers drowned in the Maisamma Cheruvu in Kukatpally. They went missing on Friday and their bodies were found floating in the lake on Sunday.

Cops suspect the boys had gone to the lake without telling their parents and drowned accidentally.

The boys were identified as Sheik Moinuddin, 13, son of Sk. Kareem and a resident of R.K. society, and Sheik Sameer, 13, the son of Sheik Javeed, a resident of Banjara Nagar in Borabanda.

Police said on Friday after offering namaz, the duo went to the lake for a swim. They removed their clothes and left the slippers on the lake’s bank. Locals found their bodies  on Sunday morning. A suspicious death case was booked.
