Srinagar: At least, eight Kashmiri students were injured, one of them critically, after some fellow students and local goons allegedly attacked them at Global Research Institution of Management and Technology in Nachroon district of Haryana on Saturday.

All the injured students are returning home after treatment. Their parents alleged that a local sarpanch was also involved in the attack and that the Haryana police was delaying filing of FIR.

The students alleged that some of their college mates attacked them after refusing to collect lunch out of turn in the canteen.

“First they abused us and called us ‘Kashmiri terrorists,’ Then they made phone calls to some local goons who came up with sharp-edged weapons and beat us,” an injured student said.
