After Pongal, Odarpu Yatra to console farmer families

Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he will organise Odarpu Yatra to console the families of farmers who have committed suicide because of agricultural debt.

Reddy staged a Maha Dharna at Vishakhapatnam collector office on Friday and demanded the Telugu Desam government to implement all the pre-poll promises as soon as possible.

He addressed a massive gathering and said that his party will hold a Nirhaara Deeksha on January 6 and 7, 2015.

He alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh with his false promises now that he is denying making those assurances.

86 farmer have committed suicide, owing to debts, so far.
