Hyderabad: A division bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice P. V. Sanjay Kumar of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday cleared the way to carry out works on the Hyderabad Metro Corridor-III, from Greenlands junction to Shilparamam at Madhapur.

On March 15, 2012, a single judge had granted a stay on Metro works in this stretch following a petition by Greenlands, Ameerpet Madhuranagar, Yusufguda, Srikrishnanagar Joint Action Committee and 20 others.

After hearing the arguments, the Bench held that the alignment is an issue to be dealt with by experts.

Citing that before finalising the route, there was consultation with the public representatives. The Bench said that law does not envisage public to be heard and objections considered at all stages.
