Hyderabad: Motorists violating traffic rules can now swipe their debit/credit cards to pay for their challans on the spot. “This is a first of its kind initiative in the entire country,” said additional commissioner Jitender.

“We are introducing cashless enforcement against traffic violations, and no traffic policeman will collect the fine amount on the field,” he added.

“Traffic violators have been given the choice of either swiping their debit/credit cards on the spot, or pay challans through MeeSeva, AP Online, netbanking, or in person at the Traffic Complex Nampally,” said additional commissioner Mr Jitender

Apart from these options, Hyderabad traffic police has also developed an Android application for easy payment of challans, which is made available in the playstore as  ‘E-Challan Telangana’.
