New Delhi/Islamabad: Seemingly rattled by Barack Obama’s decision to visit India for a second time, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the US Presi-dent to take up the Kashmir issue with the Indian leadership when he travels to the country in January.

Mr Sharif made the request when Mr Obama called him up on Friday night to inform him about his forthcoming India visit and to discuss bilateral ties and the regional situation. Mr Sharif apparently mentioned the invitation to visit Pakistan that he had extended to Mr Obama earlier, but the US President said that he would visit Pakistan once the situation there becomes normal.
