BJP boycott: We won’t talk to these four

This was decided at the BJP Legislative Party meeting on Thursday

The state BJP has decided to up the ante against the Siddaramaiah government by boycotting the four ‘tainted' ministers during the forthcoming winter session of the legislature in Belgaum.

Bengaluru: The state BJP has decided to up the ante against the Siddaramaiah government by boycotting the four ‘tainted’ ministers during the forthcoming winter session of the legislature in Belgaum. This was decided at the BJP Legislative Party meeting on Thursday. BJP members in both Houses will not ask these ministers questions nor allow them to participate in the debate or reply to queries on departmental issues.

Party president Pralhad Joshi said they will  urge the Chief Minister to reply on behalf of the four ministers. “If they still participate in debate, BJP members will boycott the House proceedings”, Mr Joshi said.

A series of public meetings have been planned in December which will be addressed by former CM B.S.Yeddyurappa, Opposition leader in the Council K.S. Eshwarappa, former CM Jagadish Shettar, Pralhad Joshi, Union Ministers Ananth Kumar and D.V. Sadananda Gowda.
