Trisha gets engaged

Actress Trisha Krishnan got ‘informally’ engaged to businessman Varun Manian. The betrothal ceremony took place on November 16 at Varun’s house and only immediate family and the closest of friends were present.

It is believed that the pretty actress, who was earlier dating Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati, said yes to Varun just weeks ago, and both families did not want to wait any longer.

The groom-to-be Varun Manian is one of Chennai’s most eligible bachelors. His mother Ranjini is the founder and CEO of Global Adjustments, and father Kishore Manian is a businessman.

Varun graduated from the New York University, and set up Radiance Realty Developers India Limited, a property development firm.

He also set up Radiance Media Group, a production company, which financed Vaaya Moodi Pesavum. He is presently co-producing Siddharth’s, Kaaviya Thalaivan.

One hears that the date for the wedding has been set for March next year. When contacted, Trisha was surprised that DC had already gotten wind of her engagement.

She said that both families were not ready to talk about it yet. Sources tell us that the formal engagement will take place soon.
