MYsURU: Months after former BJP minister,  S. A. Ramdas was accused by a widow, Premakumari, of sexually exploiting her, the drama took another turn on Wednesday as she attempted to meet him  in his Vidyaranyapuram office and was arrested.

Released soon afterwards, she  claimed she had gone to meet Mr Ramdas as the birthday gift she had sent to him through courier weeks ago, was returned to her on Wednesday with a letter that said: “We will meet in court”.

“The handwriting in the letter was not that of Mr Ramdas, so I  wanted to confirm whether he had sent  it,” she said.

The police arrived after Mr Ramdas’  personal secretary, Madhusudhan complained that Premakumari had forced her way into the office and had abused him and obstructed his work.

Later, denying that she had abused anyone, Premakumari said she had arrived at the former minister’s house at around 7pm. “I waited there till 9pm. All of a sudden the police came and arrested me. I was released only by 10pm,” she said, adding that she was determind to marry Mr Ramdas.
