Hyderabad: Non-Telugu actors have a big task, that of learning the local language. Before scenes are shot, dialogues are given to actors and they are expected to memorise them and be ready for the shoot.

Actress Vishakha Singh faced a tough situation, while shooting for her Telugu film Rowdy Fellow. Director Krishna Chaitanya gave her a two-page dialogue, nearly 20 to 25 sentences, just half an hour before the scene was to be shot.
She took it on as a challenge, but it was still a big struggle for her as she did not know the language.

It was at this juncture that the director’s friend Sudheer Varma, of Swamy RaRa fame, present on the sets, helped her out. He hid behind a cupboard in the shot and prompted Vishakha with her lines.

“That was one tricky situation. I was quite stressed that day since the lines were given on the spot. But Sudheer’s prompting was so good and he matched my timing so well that the shot was filmed in two takes,,” says Vishakha Singh, who also says that she is now a big fan of Sudheer Varma.
