Hyderabad: Kapunadu founder-president Miriyala Venkat Rao died here following illness. He was 73. He played a key role in bringing the Kapu community onto one platform. He worked as chairman of Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Corporation in the past.

The Andra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock over his death and said he was a strong leader of the Kapu community.
