Court directed the police to register an FIR in the case

Mumbai: Ahmedabad-based activist Vishwas Bhamburkar who complained against Mumbai airport operator GVK, the former chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI) and police officers for cheating and forgery said, “MIAL was not levied a penalty for delay in the modernisation project and it arbitrarily introduced the User Development Fees (UDF) and Airport Development Fees (ADF).”

Mr Bhamburkar moved the court in April this year, in which he also accused the police of not registering the case and favouring the accused, which ordered the cops to file an FIR.

The FIRs against the GVK top bosses and civil aviation joint secretary Alok Sinha (former AAI chairman) contain sections of forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy.

After going through Mr Bhamburkar’s complaint, the court directed the police to register an FIR in the case.
