Ekta buys rights to The Best Of Me
Ekta has bought the rights for two other Hollywood films as well but is keeping the details under wraps
Mumbai: The Hollywood Film The Best of Me has been creating a lot of buzz with the cast visiting India for promotions. The latest we hear is that Ekta Kapoor has bought the rights to the film that stars Michelle Monaghan and James Marsden.
Our source says, “The team at Balaji plans to make the most of the attention the film has been receiving. Ekta will be making the Bollywood version and the cast will be finalised in a few days. The deal has just been signed and Balaji has already short-listed some popular names. Ekta’s team has also met the cast.” The source adds that Ekta has bought the rights for two other Hollywood films as well but is keeping the details under wraps at the moment. The remake of TBOM is expected to go on the floors early next year.
While the India spokesperson for the Hollywood film has confirmed the news, Balaji’s spokesperson was not available for comment.
