Bhopal: A sub-inspector (SI) posted at Kakadda police post was caught red-handed by Lokayukta sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000 in lieu of not executing an arrest warrant pending against a liquor contractor.

Acting on a tip-off, Lokayukta Police laid a trap and arrested SI Nanuram Solanki red-handed on Friday receiving the bribe money from contractor Rajendra Jaiswal.

Solanki demanded Rs 1 lakh from Jaiswal for granting one-month time to execute an arrest warrant against him in connection with a case, Lokayukta Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) D S Parihar said.

After the Lokayukta action, Khargone SP Rajesh Dandotiya line attached Solanki.
