Telangana ACB official caught accepting bribe

The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 for submitting favourable property evaluation certificates

Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Telangana State Anti-Corruption Bureau, caught an official from their  department accepting a bribe. The official was identified as Santosh Kumar, an assistant executive engineer working on deputation with the ACB from the roads and buildings department. The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 for submitting favourable property evaluation certificates in a disproportionate assets case. ACB director Kumar Viswajeet said, “The accused was caught at the residence of the complainant when he accepted the bribe on Tuesday at around 9.30 pm . The bribe amount was an advance for “furnishing favourable building evaluation” reports.  The bribe amount was recovered and the accused official was arrested.
He was arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases.
