Odense: Indian badminton contingent in Denmark had an off-day as P V Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth were knocked out of the Denmark Open Super Series in their respective quarter-finals on Friday.

India’s leading badminton star Saina’s stay in the tournament came to an end following her 20-22, 15-21 loss to World No.2 Shixian Wang. Sindhu too failed to outdo South Korea's Sung Ji Hyun and went down 23-25, 20-22.

In men’s quarterfinals Kidambi Srikanth faced defeat at the hands of South Korean Wan Ho Son. The Indian lost the match 23-21, 21-17.
