Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Friday decided to temporarily suspend its earlier orders to do away with composite courses of Telugu with Sanskrit and other languages in the Class IX and Class X state board syllabus.

The government had earlier stated that studying the composite  courses of Telugu and Sanskrit was not yielding desired results and had asked officials to direct Sanskrit teachers to teach Telugu.

The government reasoned that the composite courses structure was not serving any purpose and that it also violated the three language principle.

However, the government received several representations opposing the move and has decided to keep the aspects pertaining to the composite courses in abeyance.
