Thiruvananthapuram: The city police is looking out for the perpetrators of an early morning bomb hoax at CPI (M) headquarters, AKG centre which set the city police on the heels on Thursday.
 
At around 4am, a male voice called up the landline number here and said that a bomb was planted in the building and could it explode in 10 minutes. The caller called up a second time and threatened to assassinate CPM State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and Kannur District Secretary P Jayarajan. The employees called up police control room.
 
The bomb disposal squad came and police officials under DCP Ajeetha Begum searched the building. A case has been registered by Cantonment police and DCP herself is probing the case. Cyber cell is probing the case and the call was suspected made through internet. 
 
“We have asked all internet service providers to provide us the details of the caller and most of them have responded. Now a case will be registered against the owner of the particular IP address from where the call originated. If the call originated from foreign country we will seek the custody through Ministry of External affairs,” Mrs Begum said.
