New Delhi: Top intelligence sources said Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence wants to give one major push for infiltrating militants into India before the onset of winter and has thus started mobilising militants close to the LoC and the border.

But what is worrying intelligence agencies is that this is said to be the biggest ever mobilisation of terrorists close to the border. Sources said the 10 ceasefire violations by Pakistan in the last five days were probably aimed at providing cover for militants to infiltrate into India.

“There is specific human intelligence available with us that at least 2,000 militants are holed up in terror training camps close to the launch pads in PoK.

With snow likely to start falling by the end of this month the Pakistani security forces will try hard to push maximum number of infiltrators now,’’a senior security official said.

Sources said the intelligence reports suggest that maximum number of militants were waiting close to the LoC and the international border in sectors like Poonch, Gulmarg and Mendhar from where incidentally heavy firing and shelling by Pakistani Rangers has been reported over the last few days.

Incidentally, the Indian security forces too are fully prepared and have been responding back with full intensity. What is also important is that elections are due in the Kashmir Valley in the next few months.
