Microsoft wants iPhone users to auto-upload all their photos

Will give you 30GB of cloud storage on OneDrive in exchange

Microsoft has poked a finger in the Apple eye recently. With the update of iOS 8 already deployed, iPhone users could download and update directly on their phone. However, the update needs a minimum of 5GB of space to complete. This has caused iPhone 5C users with just 8GB of internal storage to steam up.

In order to ease the issues with iPhone users, and poke a finger into the Apple eye, Microsoft has launched OneDrive for Apple users. This feature allows Apple users to upload their data and save it online, indirectly helping iPhone users to save their data online and make space for the upgrade.

Microsoft OneDrive is offering 15GB of free space on its cloud servers. Now they are offering to double that space to 30GB for free. However, there is a catch—the option is available only if you agree to keep your photos on auto-upload (on the camera roll) mode to the OneDrive cloud.

What is Microsoft going to do with your photos? Only heaven knows. Scary, isn’t it?
