Marriage aid to be given to minority community girls

TS government would provide marriage aid to 40,000 girls from the minority community this year

HyderabadTelangana state Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali on Sunday said that the TS government would provide marriage aid to 40,000 girls from the minority community this year. He said that the TS government would bring back the “Ganga Jamuna culture” of the Nizams. 
 
Addressing a seminar on “Apprehensions of minority: Myth or reality”, Mr. Ali said, “After the October Budget, we will conduct a brief survey to identify needy families requiring aid for marriage. Each girl will get Rs 51,000.” He added that several women from the minority community could not get married due to extreme poverty. 
 
He added that the TS government would ensure more than 1,000 crore rupees funds for the welfare of Minority community including Christians, Sikh, Jain and Parsis. Slamming the previous AP government, the Deputy CM said that in before Nizam rule ended, Minority community, which consisted of few lakhs, had over 1200 institutions, and at the present day, for more than a crore people, there are only 800 institutions.
 
“At the time of Nizams there health and educational sectors were prosperous and free of cost. The mafia in these two sectors have turned down every thing now. That’s why we need Nizam’s ‘Tahzeeb’ to bring prospirity to our state,” said the Minister. 
 
He added that the TS government would ensure more than 1,000 crore rupees funds for the welfare of Minority community including Christians, Sikh, Jain and Parsis. “At the time of Kiran Kumar Reddy government, 70% of the minority funds were lapsed. We ensure you to use 100 % of the funds this time,” he said.
