Andhra Pradesh inks MOUs over Rs 80,000 crore

Apart from six in the power department, the government signed an MoU with Hero MotoCorp

HyderabadThe Andhra Pradesh government inked nine memorandams of understanding to mark its 100 days in governance on Tuesday, in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
 
The total worth of the MoUs is over Rs 80,000 crore. Apart from six in the power department, the government signed an MoU with Hero MotoCorp to set up its unit in Madannapalem village of Satyavedu mandal of Chittoor district.
 
Hero MotoCorp general manager Rakesh Vashisht signed on behalf of the company. The state government has allotted 600 acres of land to the company, which will invest over Rs 3,000 crore. The plant will be built in 18 months and will provide employment to 10,000 people.
 
Mr Naidu handed over the provisional allotment letter to the Defence Research and Development Organisation for 1,103 acres in Chinnatayyur and Kokkiralakonda villages of SR Puram mandal of Chittoor district.
 
There was another allotment letter given to the Society for Applied Microwave Electromagnetic Engineering and Research, a Central company, allotting 13 acres in Ganbheeram village  in Visakhapatnam.
