Mumbai: Entertaining performances, rib-tickling humour, loads of glitz and glamour, oodles of masti, dhamaal and your favourite television stars. The cast of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ankita Lokhande, the leading lady of the show, who recently underwent a surgery, has bounced back to good health and will be seen performing during the festivities. Ankita was advised bed rest for 10 days but it sure looks like she is back with a bang donning a never-before-seen look and hairstyle, she will dazzle her fans in a romantic performance with co-star Karan Mehra (who plays Naren on the show). The duo will perform to the romantic hit ‘Tum hi ho’ from Aashiqui 2.

Ankita who thoroughly enjoys dancing was quite excited about her performance and did not let her post surgery pain get in the way. The act involves lot of co-ordination, some complex lifts and moves and she has been rehearsing for it from the past two days. Ankita says, “It has barely been ten days since my surgery but my love for dance has made me spring back with ample excitement. Karan and I have been rehearsing for it from the past couple of days. I think my passion for music and dance overcomes any pain or discomfort and gives me the strength to perform and go on.  I am looking forward to my performance with Karan and also the performances by so many of the other actors from the Zee family.”

On the other hand, Karan Mehra and Arjit Taneja (who plays the role of Purab in KumKum Bhagya) will be seen doing a typical Ganpati naach on another popular number ‘Tatad  tatad’ from the film Ram Leela. The duo that learnt the steps just a couple of hours before they were to shoot their act, proved to be a total pro at this brand of uninhibited street dancing!  The duo rocked the stage from the moment they stepped on stage and towards the end, had the whole unit doing ‘Tatad tatad tatad tatad’ in sync with them. Arijit even fondly called Naren ‘the Ranveer Singh of Indian television’ and admitted that it was tough to match steps with him.

From Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha to the newest couple on the block Roshni (Nia Sharma) and Siddharth (Ravi Dubey) from ‘Jamai Raja’, a whole host of celebrities will be seen paying homage to Ganapati and participating in the celebration with stellar performances.
