Sonam Kapoor to play painter Amrita Sher-Gil on the big screen?

Mumbai: The biopic trend in Bollywood continues, and this time it might be Sonam Kapoor starring in her first biopic.

According to a report in a leading daily, Sonam has been roped in to play classic Indian painter Amrita Sher-Gil. The report also stated that Sonam has been in contact with Sher-Gil’s family in order to prepare for the role,

Amrita Sher-Gil who was born to a Sikh father and a Hungarian mother was sometimes known as India’s Frida Kahlo.

Sonam is currently gearing up for the release of Disney’s ‘Khoobsurat’.
