Much married Mythriya Gowda? Director Rishi says tied knot in 2004
Director Rishi claimed that Karthik Gowda married the actress in July 2004
BENGALURU: The curious case of Mythriya Gowda, who has charged Karthik Gowda, son of Railways Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda with rape and cheating, became even curiouser on Tuesday with small-time Sandalwood director Rishi, claiming to have married the actress in July 2004. While the actress denies the marriage saying cases were being filed against her because she was refusing to back down on Karthik, the director Rishi, who launched the actress, has lodged a private complaint before the chief metropolitan court. He says the marriage took place at a lodge in Seshadripuram where they lived together for four months before she started cheating on him and made away with over Rs 2 lakh. Mythriya was launched under the screen name Shivani in her debut film ‘Surya the Great’ in 2004 by Rishi, who says he recently approached Mythriya, asking her to return his money but she warned him not to reveal her past.
“I received a threatening call from a landline number. When I went to police to register the case, they did not act. Hence I approached the court,” Rishi states, adding that several businessmen and producers have accused the actress of cheating. The actress said that she was barely 16 years old during the shooting of her first movie, that she was chaperoned by her mother during the shoot and described all allegations against her character and about the marriage as baseless. Rishi, incidentally was slapped by a small time actress Nayana Krishna, now absconding in an alleged sex racket case.
