Revised railway timetable from today

Timetable includes one premium train and two express trains

Thiruvananthapuram: The new railway time table will come into effect from September 1. The salient features of the time-table include one premium train from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru, a weekly express train from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi, one express train from Nagercoil to Kacheguda and a passenger train from Punalur to Kanyakumari.  Of them, the Punalur - Kanyakumari Passenger will be flagged off from Punalur on September 1 at 10.00 a.m. Nagercoil – Kacheguda express has already started its operation from May 20,2014.
 
The dates of the introduction of the other trains will be notified later. There are also changes in the arrival and departure time of some trains while the day of services of some trains have been amended. T.No. 56716 Kannyakumari- Punalur–Passenger inaugural special will be flagged off at Kanyakumari  on September 2.The timings of regular services from September 3 is as follows:  T.No. 56715 Punalur – Kanyakumari passenger will leave Punalur at 6.15 a.m. and reach Kanyakumari at 1.05 p.m.   T.No. 56716 Kanyakumari – Punalur passenger will leave Kanyakumari at 2.35 p.m and reach Punalur at 8.10 p.m. The trains will be 7 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
 
The trains will stop at Auvaneswaram, Kottarakara, Ezhukone, Kundara, Kilikollur, Kollam Jn, Varkala Shivagiri, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Nemam, Balaramapuram, Neyyantinkara, Dhanuvachapuram, Parassala, Kulitturai, Eraniel and Nagercoil Junction.Train number 22658 will run from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Bangalore City and will operate on all Sundays and Thursdays. It will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7 p.m. and reach Bangalore the next day at 8.10 a.m.
 
Train number 22657 will run from Bangalore City to Thiruvananthapuram Central on all Fridays and Mondays. It will leave Bangalore at 7.15p.m. and reach Bangalore the next day at 8.20 a.m. Train number 22653 and 22655 will run from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin via Kottayam on Saturday and Alappuzha on Wednesday. 
 
The train will depart from Thiruvananthapuram on 12.30 am and arrive at Nizammuddin at 2 a.m. on Monday and Friday. Train number 22654 and 22656 will run from Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin to Thiruvananthapuram Central via Kottayam on Friday and Alappuzha  on Monday. The train will depart from Nizammuddin at 10.05 a.m. on Friday and Monday at Thiruvananthapuram on 2 p.m.
