Mumbai: 3-D printing has come to India, and the Bangaluru-based Altem Technologies, partnering global 3-D printer leader Stratasys has used the technology to roll out a suite of Vinayaka idols in ABS plastic and photopolymer resin… including Pune's iconic Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai idol and a 8 feet tall Ashtavinayaka 3-D mural.  

Is it RIP for traditional pottery and paper mache?
