Sulabh gifts 108 toilets in memory of Badaun victims

Lucknow: A nationwide campaign for building toilets for every house was launcehd by NGO Sulabh international form Badaun where two girls were allegedly gangraped and hanged.

The NGO  took the initiative to change the civic amenities by building toilets for every household in the village and 108 low-cost toilets were thrown open to public at a function in the village on Sunday.

Sulabh founder Bindeshwar Pathak said that the country needed 120 million latrines and in UP, 77 per cent rural households did not have toilets.
