Guruvayur all set for Vinayaka Chathurthi

Thrissur: The chants of ‘Om ganapataye namah’ are already in the air in the district as Ganesh Chathurthi will be celebrated on Friday. Guruvayur is all set for the festival in every nook and cranny. “Over 50 Ganesh idols will be assembled on the temple premises and Maha Vinayaka Ghoshayathra (great procession) will end at Vinayaka theerem, Chavakkad, 5 km away from here, where the idols will be immersed,” said Ganesh Mahotsavam celebration committee convener T.P. Murali.
A ‘Mahaganapathy Homam’ and ‘Thiru Utsavam’ will be held as part of Vinayaka Chathurthi in many temples in the district.
