Smartphone that runs on Firefox OS to be available in India from August 29

Mumbai: Spice will be rolling out its new dual-SIM 2G smartphone ‘Spice Fire One Mi-FX 1’, which runs on Firefox OS in India on August 29, 2014. The Firefox handset features a 3.5-inch screen and is powered by 1 GHz processor. Spice Fire One Mi-FX 1 will also sport a 2MP rear shooter and 1.3MP front camera.

The company claims that its Firefox handset also supports several Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil and Bengali.

Wi-Fi, FM radio, and Bluetooth are some of the additional features of Spice Fire One Mi-FX 1. As per media reports, you will also get a free silicon cover along with this handset. Firefox OS smartphone is priced at Rs 2,299 and will be available in 17 countries across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
