Hyderabad: YSR Congress legislators continued to protest about ‘political murders’ in the AP Assembly on the second day of the Budget Session on Tuesday, demanding a discussion on law and order in the state.

Though Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao said that the subject was posted for discussion on Wednesday, YSRC legislators didn’t relent.

The second day of the Assembly initially began without any disruptions after the first day was washed out. YSRC leaders had given notice for discussion on law and order in the state to the Speaker under Rule 344.

However, after Question Hour, when the issue was not taken up by the Speaker, Opposition legislators stormed the Well of the House.

“Don’t start an issue when there is no issue,” the Speaker told the YSRC MLAs adding, “Your notice has been sent to the government. I kept my word but you are not keeping your word. It is posted for tomorrow under Rule 344.”

Following this, the TD leaders also started protesting and the House was adjourned for the day.
