Hyderabad:In an attempt to strengthen Arogyasri scheme Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proposed linking of white ration cards to Aadhar cards. This move is aimed to curb the misuse of the health insurance scheme and also ensure that the actual benefit of the scheme reaches only those who need it.

To monitor the services under the scheme and to asses the services to the beneficiaries, the state government is going to devise an IVRS-based response system.
Under this system the beneficiaries will give feedback from the time they are registered till the time they are discharged.

Minister Kamineni Srinivas said that the scheme can be further improvised in this system. New health cards under the aegis of NTR health cards will be issued to the Arogyasri holders in the next two months.

Stressing on private funding, Mr Naidu said  Wipro has shown interest to adopt public health centers as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
