Hyderabad: About 2 lakh students, who qualified in the Eamcet, will appear for counselling. Certificate verification will be done at about 60 helpline centres being set up. Certificates of students holding the first 5,000 ranks will be verified on August 7, followed by the next 5,000 ranks on August 8.

Ranks will be allocated to respective helpline centres and students will have to check the same and reach there. Details of web counselling will be provided on the day of certificate verification.

However, confusion still prevails as the modalities of FAST have not been decided yet. Senior officials from the Telangana education department said that students would have to furnish certificates, including those to avail fee reimbursement or FAST, during certificate verification.

“But, we have not prepared the guidelines yet, so what certificates will the students show during counselling to get fee exemption?” an official asked.

Telangana officials also raised questions over who would operate these helpline centres in either state as no clarity on these issues has yet been given by the APSCHE.
