Telangana govt boycotted the meeting called to finalise dates

Hyderabad: Amid much drama, the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) on Wednesday released the notification initiating the procedure for Eamcet counselling for   Engineering. 
 
Verification of certificates will begin from August 7 and continue till August 23. Verification of certificates can be done at the helpline centres notified by the APSCHE. Students can also give options of the college and branch of Engineering after verification of certificates.
 
APSCHE issued the notification after the meeting to decide the same was boycotted by the Telangana government. However, APSCHE officials said they would go ahead and issue the notification as time couldn’t be wasted. 
 
The Telangana government meanwhile has condemned the move by the APSCHE alleging that it is siding with the Andhra Pradesh government. The notification was released on the same day the Telangana government formed a committee to finalise the modalities of its Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme.
