New Delhi: Tennis legend Vijay Amritraj on Monday showed a deep concern over the country’s inability to produce a successful singles player in the last 50 years.“We really need to look at this matter... I don’t see any dearth of talent in India,” said Amritraj, who was in the capital on Monday to promote the WTA Singapore finals this October.Amritraj, who led the team to the Davis Cup finals in 1974 and 1987, reckons that India had an “outside” chance against formidable Serbia.

“I can’t say anything about my Davis Cup team as the captain is my brother and that too my elder... but jokes apart he (Anand Amritraj) really did a tremendous job in putting the team together. Frankly, we don’t have anything to lose. Serbia have a great team. “I just hope Novak Djokovic reaches the US Open final and skips the tie,” he joked.
