Mohammedan Sporting honours Shabbir Ali with the lifetime achievement award

Former Indian captain felicitated for his outstanding contribution to the game

Kolkata: Former India captain Shabbir Ali was awarded Lifetime Achie-vement for his contribution to Mohammedan Sporting in their Dawat-e-Iftar at the Kshudiram Anush-ilan Kendra here on Monday.
 
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to the Dron-acharya awardee and Santosh Trophy winning Bengal coach. In the previous years, the famous Football club, Mohammedan Sporting had conferred Mohammad Habib, John Victor and Moidul Islam with the Lifetime Achievemnt Awards.
