Mumbai: In another shocking case of medical negligence, a leading hospital in Jammu ‘accidentally’ gave abortion pills to an 8-month pregnant woman. A doctor and two para-medics have been arrested in the same case.

The woman was admitted to the hospital for glucose fluid intake but was given an abortion pill. The hospital mistook the woman for another patient and scheduled her for an abortion.

The victim also mentioned that she had asked for glucose but the hospital staff did not pay attention.

The victim started complaining of pain half an hour after she reached home. She was immediately taken back to the hospital where her family was informed that the baby cannot be saved and the mother is also critical.

The police informed that the doctor and the para-medics are being interrogated.
