Rakesh Roshan pays Rs 15 lakhs to deceased fireman's family

The filmmaker and other property owners of the building wish to help Ivalekar's family

Mumbai: After the deadly fire at Lotus Buisness Park, Mumbai took the life of one brave fireman on Friday. The wife of late Nitin Ivalekar demanded the government to see to it that her family was given some financial compensation through a written letter, according to reports.

Absolute India reported that Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, along with other property owners of the building have come together to offer a sum of  Rs 15 lakh as compensation to the deceased fireman’s family.

Rakesh said, “We’ve decided to give the wife a cheque of Rs 15 lakh. It is nothing to compensate for his death. But it will help her with her son’s education.”

The Roshan’s only own property in the building and don’t have any running business there.
