Hyderabad: Referring to the investment climate in Telangana state, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said, “I am very happy on the investment front. Many top industrialists are coming to meet me and evincing interest to invest here. Even some top politicians from other states are making telephone calls to me and saying that their relatives or friends want to invest in Telangana state and are coming to meet me. They are saying that earlier the investors faced several problems on account of huge political corruption and the situation has changed for the better now. This is something which I am very happy about.”

Referring to poll promises, he said, “They are not just like any other poll promises but our commitment. A marathon exercise spanning over 58 days was taken up before coming out with poll promises. Retired IAS officers were involved in the process to ensure that only those promises that can be implemented were incorporated in our manifesto. Retired IAS officer A.K. Goel, sought waiver of Dwacra loans along with crop loans, I strongly opposed it saying that even if we don’t come to power, I have no problem but I can’t make promises which cannot be fulfilled.”
